Le mur des "je t'aime"
On a wall on the Square Jehan Rictus in Paris not far from the Sacre Coeur, there is an fun piece of art. In 2000, Frederic Baron an author and composer , with the help of Claire Kito, a specialist in Chinese calligraphy, put up the "love Wall". It is a 40sq. meter wall covered in 612 tiles of the same size and color, on each of which the words "I love you" have been written in 300 languages and dialect including breton and bambara(mali)
Frederic baron collected hand written I love you's during a number of years and after a multitude of requests and permits managed to put up this wall of tiles on a wall of the small park.
Above the wall, Artist Rue Meurt d'Art painted a mural of Ava Gardner and a quote which loosely translated means "love is messy... let's love".
au revoir.
What a fabulous wall of love and adoration! Thankyou! It should be in every village no matter how small, bringing its people together in one passionate and artistic display of love!
