Bon weekend.
Photos by Doisneau for his 100th birthday.
I am back from my trip to Tangier and Marrakesh. It went very well in spite of a lot of rain; very annoying for us but extremely welcome by a Morocco in dire need of a lot it.
I came home with the memory of a great if challenging trip, a lot of samples and some inevitable and fun goodies.
I also came home with something unexpected: I just found out I have shingles (un zona, for my French readers). This is the second time- the first time I was in my late 20's.
If I am divulging this tidbit of what should be private information, it is only because the consequence is an untypical (for me) low energy level and although I will continue to post, you might find it even more sporadic than I thought.
When added to this 2 tiny facts:
a) our move to France in July (oh, why-oh-why do we have to fill attics, garages and crawl spaces??? and how did we end up with so many snow boards, photo albums and discarded lamps? and please tell me why we have a BB gun and barbells..."suivez mon regard": follow my eyes as we say in French; no, I won't mention names...)
b) my wonderful business partner's need, at the very least, of a decent amount of help to launch our line of home linens at the NY Gift Fair in August...
...well, you get the situation. I'll be very unproductive for the next few days; good books, my mac for movies and a few "Mots Fléchés" (French crosswords)
And apparently a lot of sleep.
