These are the Holidays version of the traditional Navettes de Lavandes from Provence. (how to make one here)They are just kicked up a notch and they are fabulous, don't you agree?
I have been wondering about the fat round ones. The others, a friend taught me how to do them; rather sort of easy, just good eye/hand coordination needed...The fat ones, I guess you need to stuff a little sachet or just bend the stems a couple more times as just putting loose lavender won't work; it will all fly all over the place. Someone surprise us: try making one during the holiday... where to find fresh lavender around here I wonder; Good luck!
They are fabulous! The Lavender Wands were one of my favorite gift items but you are right they are notched up a bit for the holidays. Even more wonderful. Happy Holidays! XO
A big notch! Those are truly fabulously beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I think I need to try and figure this one out!
ReplyDeleteOui, they are tres fabulous. Joyeux Noël to you and your family.

they are fabulous! I have always loved them.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I wonder how you make the fat, globular kind as opposed to the long, thin kind? More lavander?
