DINE-IN LIBRARIES
LA SALLE A MANGER BIBLIOTEQUE
I have a small library and a dining room with original glazed corner cabinets so a dine-in library is not in the cards this time around. Too bad. I am in love with them. What could be better? A room with a table that is used only at mealtimes, which can serve as a reading/consulting/note writing table all the other times. All this and a good number of books at your hand. So clever.
On the purely decorative side, a library is such a very cozy place, full of neat horizontal and vertical lines, color and great texture. The bookcases themselves can disappear under a coordinating coat of paint or scream "look at me" thanks to brilliant color, fine detailing and the careful arrangement not only of books but of art and treasured objects.

au revoir.
Just what I have always wanted.
