The June trip is over. It's time to remember some of the highlights, the beautiful sights, the fun discoveries and the wonderful times one always has when sharing it all with great friends .
FIRST STOP:
MONTREAL
It all started with a bang; or rather a very ceremonial tap of the hat from the Dean for one happy, relieved, excited, somewhat sad and slightly nervous graduate. Happy she made it, relieved she did not stumble on stage,- yes, those heels were high...- excited that everyone was there- parents and friends-, sad it was the end of a fabulous time on her own in Montreal, and sad that the friends you are sure to keep for a lifetime would soon scatter here there and everywhere to follow their life paths and nervous at the prospect of having to find her own in the weeks or months to come.
BRAVO Lys-Aelia!
image: very grainy photo taken of the giant TV screen in the giant tent on the front Lawn of the University on a very rainy day that decided to turn nice just after the ceremony. Those Canadians, they know when to turn on the charm ... and the sun.
au revoir.
Welcome back! Merci pour les p'tit cadeaux! And congratulations to your daughter. I think she and I may have done our undergrad at the same institution and I hope she has fond, fond memories of being there. I do.
ReplyDeleteShe attended McGill and loved every minute. Thank you very much for the kind words. A bientot.
